Open Call: Network Analysis Case Studies

If you are interested in networks, graphs, data science and text analysis we invite you to take part in this open call.

We invite you to write an article with a case study using InfraNodus network visualization and analysis tool for any task or research practice.

It can be published on your own blog, Medium, or any other platform. We can also publish it on the Nodus Labs website, helping you reach about 50000 people a year interested in network science, graph theory and text analysis.

The prize fund of €1000 will be split among the 8 best articles. The top voted author will get €300, while the remaining amount will be split evenly between the other 7 articles (€100 each).

If you are interested to participate, please, submit your suggestion using the form below before the 7th of July 2020 (23:59 CET).

Every person who submits a proposal will receive a response and the full details of the open call offer. You will also be able to vote on the best article among the submissions proposed.

Please, feel free to choose any topic as long as it has something to do with networks, graphs, and makes use of InfraNodus — whether you use it for analysis or presenting results in a visually appealing way.

Just to give you some ideas, here are examples of what we wrote about before: Mind-Viral Immunity in Hackernoon, a demo of using InfraNodus to make music, applications of network analysis for psychotherapy. There are also articles that are much more technical, such as this tutorial on finding a high-potential niche in any content or getting an overview of a topic. So you can also be as general or as technical and specific as you wish.

Open Call Application

After you submit the form with your proposal (deadline: 07/07/20), you will receive a response from us, so we can discuss where the article will be published and some specific requirements, depending on the platform chosen. You will then have 2 weeks to write and publish your article (until 21/07/20). The published articles will be reviewed by all the participants, who will choose the top 8 to get the prize fund.

During the submission period — 20/06/2020 to 07/07/2020 — we will respond to you within 72 hours to confirm your topic, the platform where the article will be published, and discuss the platform-specific conditions. You will then have 2 weeks to write your article (until 21/07/2020) and make it available publicly online. The other participants will all be able to choose the top 8 articles to get the prize fund. The participants are responsible for their personal tax obligations that may arise as a result of them receiving the prize money and Nodus Labs will in no way be held liable to any damage or loss that may be caused directly or indirectly by the conditions of this offer. Legal conditions of this open call are available upon request.

On the internet people come and go, but we would like to stay in touch. If you like what you're reading, please, consider connecting to Nodus Labs on Facebook, Twitter and Patreon, so we can inform you about the latest updates and engage in a dialogue.
