In this 2-hour course you will learn how to expand your awareness and enhance your perceptual abilities using the network polysingularity methodology. The essence of this approach is the ability to shift perspectives and to be aware of a situation from multiple points of view. This brings more choices both in professional and personal lives as well as helps have a better overview of the situations that one is engaged in.
In this course we begin from the defining notion of extrasensory as the ability to perceive beyond normal sensory capacities (the original meaning of the term). While you are unlikely to become a psychic or to be able to practice telepathy after this course, you will learn a powerful set of tools that will enable you to access more choices in life, to enhance awareness, and to improve decision-making processes as well as adaptive capacities both in personal and professional realms.
Our methodology is based on polysingularity framework. The essence of this approach is in representing the world as multiple different singular networks, which are constantly morphing into each other. Each of those networks is a certain context, a point of view, a set of relations full of potentialities. For each situation there is an infinite number of those network-constellations available, just like there may be many interpretations for any singular event. In this course we learn the practice of shifting between those interpretations, using various cognitive stimulation techniques.
The course starts from a brief introduction to the framework. We use the research in brain studies and radical embodied cognitive science to demonstrate that network representation is, in fact, naturally hard-wired in living creatures. Theoretical introduction is followed by practical exercises, which demonstrate how cognitive networks can be constructed for any situation or event.
We then borrow several tools and methodologies from network science so that you are able to modulate the dynamics of cognitive networks that we construct according to your goals and intentions. We introduce several exercises to demonstrate how these tools can be used in practical settings. We focus on 4 aspects particularly: maintaining several points of view, prioritizing, shifting perspectives, and variability (meta-perspective shifts).
In the last section we introduce advanced methodology for expanding one's cognitive capacities using network polysingularity approach. We focus particularly on pattern detection mechanisms, clusterization of meanings, and various techniques that can be used for innovative and creative thinking, bridging the structural holes and gaps that emerge in polysingular structures between distinct clusters.
